ACUDETOX
Acudetox is another word for auricular (pertaining to the ear) acupuncture. It is one of the world's oldest medical practices, having been around for over three thousand years. It has no side effects and works as an adjunct to existing treatments or therapies. Acupuncture can help to detoxify the human body by stimulating the liver, lung, and kidney, these three are the organs our bodies use to flush the toxins from our bodies. It can assist in the detoxification of drugs and alcohol from the body. It can also be helpful in the removal of the residual effects of pharmaceuticals in your system or to treat emotional and psychological conditions?
Chinese medical science holds that there is an extensive and complex energy system that flows throughout the human body. When this stream flows freely, the body is in balance and healthy. Interruptions and blockages in this normally free-flowing energy stream causes stagnation, illness, dis-ease and discomfort. Simply stated, acupuncture is a technique that helps get the energy flowing freely and restores balance to the body.

How it works
Acudetox is based on the fact that there are points for the entire body mapped out on the ear's surface. The points at which the needles are inserted correspond to the major organs and emotions associated with them. They are as follows:
Shenmen (or Spirit gate): used for calming and relaxing (corresponds to the heart center)
Sympathetic: (sympathetic nervous system) used for relieving tension
Liver: used to detoxify, as well as relax and relieve anger and frustration
Kidney: used to strengthen the willpower release fears and unwanted toxins
Lung: used to help respiration, release sadness and grief, as well as for detoxification
Five fine-gauge, tiny, sterilized, one-time use stainless steel needles are inserted just under the skin. They stimulate the cranial nerve branch in the ear associated with these areas of the body. The client relaxes quietly for up to an hour in a comfortable chair. This treatment releases endorphins into the nervous system. Endorphins are the “feel good” chemicals in the human body; they promote feelings of health, positive thought processes, up-beat attitudes, and a general sense of well-being.
